ok so the craziest thing happened. my aunt is pregnant. it's a miracle. and it's this cool new way for the mason-phillips genes to pass on. and it's a boy. and i found out the same day england fooled the world into gender roles again. its all very exciting! it's funny, too, because when i'm crazy, i feel this strange link to the english monarchy, probably because the queen and i share the same name. but also, i was born the same year as beatrix and some other crap. so it's just so wild. but new life is being breathed into my family and it is so thrilling to wonder who this man will be. i bet he will channel my grandfather's alpha male thing and play lacrosse and date women and rule the world. and we'll be first cousins! i'll be 25 years older than him! and my aunt is 47! the thing is, she got married late and no one thought she'd have kids, since she spent her fertile years delivering babies instead of making them. but she got hitched and pregnant all after 40! it's just this weight lifted, really, because we all always felt blighted by my aunt's obvious loneliness. but now she may have the savior of us all! a bright shining new boy for the family! and so displaced! his mom will be a wise older lady (my aunt kept herself healthy as a dr, too) while his peers' mommie's will be pillhead teenmoms or something. goody! anyway, here's to new life!
