MAGIC

*A NOTE*
If you don't read this all at once, please don't do magic UNTIL you've read IT ALL.
Not a piece of it less important than any other,
and you can really fuck your life up with magic
(not to mention your whole timeline
and everyone else's life too).
THANK YOU
XOXO

Sooooo... After having my blog for all these years, I realized I have not explicitly said what magic is and what it does and how to do it... That's because I am STILL learning about it, every day, and no one is really "teaching" me (besides myself and the Universe). Plus, magic can be hard to define, harder to see and discover, and just real tricky to pull off. It is much like art with all its history, theories, concepts, movements, and individual artists (witches). It is also like programming, as well as a bit like spycraft, and engineering and politics and governing dynamics and quantum mechanics and electrical work and, like baking, and a million other parallel systems... It's a lot

Magic can be general, objective, and non-specific, like asking for more peace in the world; or it can be personal, subjective, and very specific, like a money spell to fatten your bank account. It can also be interpersonal, like using certain stones to influence those around you; and it can also be INTRApersonal, like doing Shadow Work, aka looking at, and integrating, one's shadow (the unacknowledged psychic/psychological space where we hide all the repressed things about ourselves) and acknowledging all those things you'd rather not...

Magic can be like a battle, where you make a "move" against a system or a person or an entity and see what happens, and then respond to that. It can be a spell you plan for months and arrange as favorably as you can with the planets and the hours and the high holidays in mind, and then finally, finally enact. It can also be something you do completely on the fly, like saying a word of power or writing a rune somewhere, at a certain time and in a certain place that can just like, blow someone's whole scene up. Or it can just be watering a thirsty plant, giving someone a smile or a dollar, or pulling a dead branch down that has gotten stuck in a tree. Magic is so very varied: it can be really, really "big" or it can be really, really "small",
either in impact or in action.
And really, nothing is NOT magic.

Magic can take moments, months, years, or a lifetime to manifest. Technically, every act of magic is "fulfilled", and no spell goes "unnoticed". However, the BIG THING about magic is that it goes completely "underground" (once you finish the physical part of it) to do its "work". Your magical "work" goes into the subconscious realm once you do it in order to "operate". This is where the magic REALLY happens, and we don't exactly understand how it works down there: the mechanics of the manifestation process of how the subconscious realm affects conscious reality is pretty much unknown. But, really, all magic
MUST pass through
God.

If God doesn't want what you're up to to happen, it really won't. Something will, rest assured, but it likely won't be what you had intended, and yet, it will probably be "better", though it may take you years, if not lifetimes, to realize this...

However, should you take the plunge, magic is the most empowering, creative, definitive, and all-embracing way to impact and influence the world. Probably because you're working with the infrastructure of reality, the divine matrix, and all the underlying energies that build up matter and our world when you do it.

Banks,

corporations,

empires,

religions,

governments,

individuals

and all manner of groups

           all do magic.

So why shouldn't YOU?

Really...

Why shouldn't you

If you knew, KNEW, the world was being influenced by some unseen, undetectable gas that surely and seriously had an impact on everyone, everywhere, and that YOU could make your own gas and surround yourself (and those you love) with it and thereby be protected and unaffected by this insidious, who-knows-for-what-purpose, everyone-else-is-affected gas, wouldn't you??? Wouldn't you think it was a good idea to at least know as much as possible about this gas and how to stop it/mitigate it/produce your own gas with affects YOU condone???

I'd say so!!! I DO say so!!! Because this is basically the truth, ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between. There is, FOR SURE, beyond even the slimmest shade of any doubt, an unseen, undetected, unmitigated influence on US ALL, from every angle, for no good purpose (most of the time: hardly anyone does good magic for the community just for fun like me ;). All these ne'er-do-wells are sending invisible, unknowable, bad juju YOUR WAY, every hour and second and millisecond of every day you're awake AND asleep (The Sound of Silence is a THING, people) even if you can't feel it.

That's why we're all depressed and on legal and illegal drugs and getting coffee enemas and praying to AI and getting Botox and breast implants at 16 and injecting fat into the balls of our feet to make wearing heels easier and having road rage and taking birth control pills and revering badbad men. Because of BAD magic. ALL OF IT is just crazy, crazy unnatural and super, super due to the influence of magic, especially the kinds sent through the airwaves on the internet, which is basically a curse on our sexuality, and agency, and our ability and willingness to FIGHT BACK against anything, btw...

Anywho, the point is,

everyone else is doing it, so you should, too. :)

JK... but seriously though, they are,

and you REALLY should, too...

Soooooo...

What is magic?

Magic is the symbolic representation of energy manipulation, made real and manifest in our world, for a specific purpose, desired by the magic-user (aka WITCH). It is used by many and can be used by all, though its means, effects, and language are lost to the layman and most modern "men".

There is an object-based, physical aspect to this "representation", such as the oils and leaves and stones one uses to "ground" or "describe" one's magical intentions. There is also an active principal to magical workings, such as any ritual or chanting or "charging" one does, to name just a few activities. There are also passive things you do, too, like writing down intentions, visualizing success, and making sacrifices to garner favor with ancestors and various other entities and deities so that they might help you out.

Magic can be digital and electrical as well as magnetic and seismic.  The weather is magic and can be magically manipulated at will. Gravity is a type of magic, hydraulics are magic, theater is magical, electromagnetics are magic, pharmaceuticals are magic and in fact, the word pharmacy comes from the Greek word for sorcery and witchcraft, pharmakeia. In addition, because Hollywood is "where the magic happens", it is named after the wood traditionally used for wands, because the wood of the holly branch has perfect grain (no knots) so it transfers energy perfectly!

There is a form of magic called Glamour, which is just the appearance of your magic and YOU appearing magical, aka looking witchy with all the accoutrement of that: the makeup, jewelry, crystals, and black velvet cloaks and stuff. There are also social magics meant to influence people, like wearing behavior-altering crystals and performing misdirection and high flattery. There are intrapersonal magics within oneself, as well, meant to only affect the self, like the aforementioned shadow work.

How does it work?

Magic, in essence, is a "story" told to the spirit/subconscious realms, in its own language (symbolism), in the hopes that it "reproduces" that "story" in "real life". This story can be anything: what we want (for ourselves, others, or the world), or what we are banishing and letting go of (for the same). And, yeah, the actual mechanism that brings forth our desires from the subconscious realm to the conscious realm is pretty much unknown to us witches... but that's part of the fun!!!

Since All Is One (the Divine Matrix) magic is non-local, and a change anywhere is a change everywhere: what you do anywhere affects everything, everywhere; though if some sort of endemic grid-magic is employed against your purpose, you may need to spread you influence wider than just one instance of intent... This is what's going on with my constant battle against human trafficking... That shit is everywhere, and I have to fight it everywhere I go, every day I'm alive, if I hope to have any lasting effect at all... :(((((

There is also much context to consider when working magic, for instance: the moon cycle (perform spells where you want something to happen, or build and increase, during the waxing moon; do banishing spells during the waning moon) and all astrology influences in general; there are certain times that are "astrologically more favorable" for certain activities: certain signs and planets and houses, and combinations and relationships of these [aka angles in a star chart], naturally smile on certain things and inherently thwart others...

>>(same goes for the sun cycle: perform spells where you want something to happen, or build and increase, during the part of the year where the sun is getting stronger [the days are lengthening: winter solstice to summer solstice], and banishing spells during the time of year when the sun is losing strength [days are getting shorter: summer solstice to winter solstice])<<

...numerology, what runes/letters are involved in your pursuit, the time of day you might be working with (western planetary hours or Chinese Zodiac double-hours), your/the location you wish to affect and its many histories, as well as your own birth circumstance (time and place and its history) AND your own personal history, too. There is also the collective history of humanity to consider, as well as the historic/psychological/spiritual "grooves" of certain systems certain instances involve (like the Chakras, or certain age-old Sanskrit mantras that are "well-activated" in other realms).

There is also the greater context than all these as well: the actual presence of God is much in evidence and involved in magic. In some ways, They are a failsafe to complete disaster: much of magic cannot be done completely without an "OK" from God and They can keep you from completely ruining your life/timeline. In a sense, you are co-creating with God when you do magic, speaking Their language and assuming Their role (since, really, we are all God anyway... [or at least, we are Their body incarnated]).

But in general, there IS a certain "way" magic works, and that is to express what it is you intend to change in your world, as that is the ultimate goal of magic: TO EFFECT CHANGE, at a level more basic, dramatic, and longer-lasting than most of your physical actions ever could. One does this with things like symbols, words, colors, numbers, scents and oils, plant parts and powders, crystals, bones, and other pieces of nature, as well as anything man-made you think could be effective at describing what it is you intend to change about your world to the subconscious realm. You compile these things in the hopes that the changes you are "describing" with them HAPPENfor real.

You can also take actions that are meaningful to the subconscious and work towards "describing" to it your desired change. You may walk, talk, dance, write, burn things, pour stuff, break things or tear them up or in any way you can conceive of destroy a thing. You can chant (certain ancient phrases go "deeper" into reality by virtue of the fact that they've just been around so long and so, SO many people have used them so much [you don't even have to know what these phrases mean to use them, actually... but BEWARE of that, btw]).

You can light candles that continually "perpetuate your intention" with their flame while lit, then blow them out (though, this is supposed to "blow the magic out" and it is advised to put a candle out rather than blow one out). You can pour the candle's wax on stuff, glue things to stuff, or cut stuff up as "magic". You can tie knots (and then cut them apart as in a
severing spell), plant plants, sew a certain pattern or weave the same. You can make a cider, leave a cupcake at a grave, or do a Sun Salutation. You can have a conversation, do a dance, burn incense, and "charge" water or crystals or anything at all (see my old, old post on Casting a Circle and charging stuff).

Your intention is what/where the magic really is, so you can do stuff like listen to music while watching birds, or making love, or watching children play at the park and intentionally match the song lyrics you're hearing to the activity you're viewing. You can masturbate while imagining nailing a presentation at work, or you can remain chaste for a certain amount of time to build energy that way. You can call on any angel, ancestor (yours or not), or deity to help you with your work, or none at all, having the most faith in yourself. You can pretend to stab your witch sister in an oath or kiss her in another. All of these are magical actions.

**The thing about magical action, though, is:

The subconscious doesn't really

"discern" too well.**

If your witch sister pretends to stab you with her athame, then, in a way, and in another realmshe really DOES stab you. Your subconscious doesn't do jokes or sarcasm or just-kidding-but-not-really: it takes everything at face value. So, when your "friend" pretends to stab you in the throat with an athame, a part of you (and the world) is like: omg she just stabbed me in the throat for realsies!! To a certain part of you, it's all real, and that action that didn't happen here, DID happen somewhere else...

Your subconscious also remembers everything that ever happened to you, by the way. It’s all down there. Somehow, your subconscious is a repository of all the events of your life, ever. We witchy types like to call this the Akashik records. IDK why... Buttttt, what I do know is, the subconscious never forgets, either. So, you know, make good decisions, as always...

In the same vein, the subconscious doesn't really do "NO" so much either... If you don't want something, don't make magic about it. Yes, there are banishing spells and binding spells and all that, but you don't make a spell proper about what you don't want in the same way that if you don't want something to manifest, you don't think about it

Whatever you pay attention to, the Universe and God and the subconscious are all like, <Oh! Attention! This being must want MORE of this because they are paying attention to it!> I don't know WHY this is, other than the general laws of attraction, but I DO know that's how it works... Also, if you are doing any affirmations or writing any intentions down, put them in the PRESENT TENSE: this is super important. You must act as if... You must believe and feel and know that you will RECEIVE what you "ask for" with your magic... or the power behind all of it is gone...

REMEMBER:

YOU are the Power Source

Man, AI is cool...

and your belief in yourself

and what you do is ESSENTIAL to magic

and what drives it all to work.

Because when you do magic, you essentially "write" a new reality with your intention, calling on whatever gods or angels or ancestors you feel are appropriate to assist in this, and "ground" that intention with physical objects or incense or ritual action, at the "best time" possible (with regards to the stars and high holidays), for whatever it is you want to happen, and then...

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU DO

LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT

because one day,

it may

Preliminary Things You'll Need to Know:

To do magic most efficaciously, you should really be familiar with classical physics and even quantum physics, like particle theory and entanglement (the natural, mechanical laws of this plane). You need to know pretty much everything about spirituality (the astral, ethereal law of the spirit realm), and, ultimately, you will need to know about the combination of the two (Metaphysics).

Because if you want to do magic properly, you really need to know these pretty well, as these fields are the foundation of energy work. You'll need to know about stuff like the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and Schrödinger's Cat, as well as like, all the symbols ever. You should also be familiar with most major religions and their customs and histories and the general relationships between them, as well as any minor religions you want to know about or like (I'm a fan of Huna, Hawaii's native religion). It is also helpful to know certain oracles (not tarot, bad symbolism, darkest timeline), as well as the basics of making art, and ancillary things like Feng Shui and its Cycle of Elements and the Bagua.

Kartoon Zoo: Feng Shui >> https://kartoonzoo.blogspot.com/2023/08/feng-shui.html

You pretty much must know the varied "meanings" of all colors, numbers, and letters, as well as as many patterns, symbols, and planetary occurrences (like the solstices and equinoxes) as you can. You will need to absolutely know about the elements, directions, and high holidays, as well as the cross-holidays in the Wheel of the Year, which is a sort of Pagan-holiday, modern-day amalgam of old-world, earth-centric celebrations. It is good to have a rudimentary knowledge of astrology, but it's such a dynamic, saturated, complex field that is like, always changing, that I just farm the major star stuff out to my girl, Jenny: Home | The Young Crone (bigcartel.com)

These are a short version

of what you NEED to know:

the Magdalene & femininity > in the shadow: Christ

- purple > blue + red = divine union, royalty, aka the Christ + the Magdalene

The Numbers

- 1 > the self, the individual, the ego

- 5 > the break from the stability of the four, the five is separation, division, chaos, and so, freedom (from all that stasis in the 4)

- 6 > the union of two 3’s, aka gods making love, so SEX, pleasure, beauty, and all that is divine in creation

- 7 > the temple built on the union of gods (6), so… higher learning, spirituality, divine wisdom, and MAGIC

The High/Pagan Holidays

The pagan holidays center around the Earth and its natural cycles, as the word pagan just means "earth worship(er)". For humans, this mostly means acknowledging and honoring the cycles of planting, nurturing crops, and harvesting them when they're done growing. The whole wheel is an amalgam of several ancient holidays and feasts and is traditionally attributed to Wicca, which I don't super like, because I think it was founded by a Freemason (and therefore meant to give modern witches some agency and information, but not all that there could be given). But no ancient culture celebrated every holiday as it is on the modern wheel, though many celebrated most. As most witches are female, we begin the Wheel of the Year with Midwinter, or the Winter Solstice, the most feminine time of year.

> Midwinter/Winter Solstice

December 20th-22nd

The shortest day, and longest night, of the year. Since the moon (the feminine planet) is paramount at this time of year when night is extended beyond any other time, and both night/dark and winter/cold are feminine traits, this is an exaltation of the Goddess, women, and everything feminine. Because it is a time typically spent indoors and generally within oneself more than at other, warmer times of the year, winter, and specifically Midwinter, are times for reflection, planning, and sorting out what's happened the year past and setting goals for the year to come. At Midwinter, the sun is "reborn" because the days begin to lengthen, and light is said to prevail over darkness at this time. We celebrate this renewal by giving gifts and lighting lights like candles and bonfires. It is a time to celebrate life's triumph over death as well, and so we bring evergreen branches into our homes to signify and bring closer this everlasting life (aka - where the tradition of Christmas trees [and CHRISTMAS btw...] came from).

> Candlemas/Imbolc

February 2nd

This holiday is a celebration of the beginning of the end of winter: crocuses are beginning to pop up as the first flowers of spring, the last of the snow melts away, and animals are foaling, producing an abundance of milk and, as such, a new source of food after a long, hard winter with not much variation in diet. We often drink milk and eat cheese on this holiday and some witches anoint candles as well at this time of year. Cleaning one's home of the fug of winter is traditional at Imbolc; this is also a good time to plant seeds, literally and metaphorically, for the coming harvest. You can do this symbolically by putting something back into the earth as a "seed" and as a token of gratitude, guaranteeing future abundant "harvests". I like to "plant" bread, as it is a good symbol of abundance all around.

> Ostara/Spring Equinox

March 20th-22nd

This is a time of harmony and balance, especially between male and female, because the night and day are equal length and so the sun (M) and moon (F) share space in the sky for equal amounts of time. It is the beginning of spring and a fair, halcyon time of equanimity. After the spring equinox, the days become longer than the nights and daytime stretches out before us, warmer and longer than before. Ostara is therefore a time of rebirth, renewal, and rejuvenation. It is linguistically linked to the word East and therefore dawn, which symbolizes new beginnings and imminent growth and the world awakening after winter's austerity and "death". A walk at dawn on this day of new beginnings is a good way to start your spring. Christianity's Easter developed from this pagan holiday, which can be seen in the similarity of their names and the similar themes of rebirth. The bunny and egg imagery come from the Ostara symbols of a bird turned into a bunny by a goddess to help it weather the winter. The bunny, however, retained its egg-laying power and so laid eggs anew in the spring to honor its patron goddess.

> Beltane

May 1st

A major fire holiday, Beltane marks the beginning of summer, often with a bonfire and a maypole dance. It is a particularly saucy, lustful holiday, full of concupiscence and prurient intent. It is said that at this time, the god impregnates the goddess, which produces the flowering of the earth in the subsequent summer months. The maypole is a representation of this divine coupling and the sex act in general, with the beflowered and flower-crowned ladies and their ribbons "wrapping the pole" in an act of appreciation, love, and fertility. Faeries and Green Man are part of Beltane traditions, and the holiday is considered earthy, raw, vibrant, hot, and all about nature's blooming, enduring beauty. So, bring on the wine and honey, honey! IT'S BELTANE, BABY and it's time to dance!!

> Litha/Summer Solstice/Midsummer

June 20th-22nd

An exaltation of the sun and all that is masculine. It is the triumph of the sun as it reaches its power and highest peak in the longest day of the year. Ironically, though, once it reaches this peak, the sun immediately begins its decline into shortening days and ultimately, winter. It was said, in ancient days, that gathering the dew on the morning of the summer solstice and putting it on one's face was meant to increase beauty and desirability. The day is traditionally spent outdoors.

> Lammas/Lughnasadh

August 1st

Lammas is the first of the harvest holidays, which lasts the next few months and the next two holidays, as well. This is a time for gratitude, thanksgiving, and reaping what was sown. It is known as a bread holiday, because the grains were gathered first in the harvest in the days of old. It is also a good time to forage and gather all herbs as well as begin planning for the coming colder months.

> Mabon/Autumnal Equinox

September 20th-22nd

My favorite holiday, Mabon is celebrated at the height of the harvest, with all the best things: apples, squashes, and gourds; pomegranates and every kind of vegetable; as well as grapes, corn, and nuts of all kinds. It represents the same kind of balance and harmony as its spring counterpart, since the day and night are of equal length yet again, but Mabon has a greater emphasis on gratitude than Ostara, which is more about rebirth. This is definitely a feast holiday and a good time to do gratitude and balance rituals as well as a protection spell or two. I, myself, brew a fantastic cider with Martinelli's apple juice (it must be Martinelli's, because it's the best, as it is not from concentrate), pomegranate juice, and cinnamon. I think I'll add cloves, bay leaves, and nutmeg this year, too...

> Samhain

Sundown October 31st - Sundown November 1st

Known as the Witch's New Year because it was/is a time of endings: Samhain is the last days of the harvest, the last days of living plants, and livestock was traditionally slaughtered at this time of year as well. Because of all the "natural death" and its liminal nature of passing from one year to the next, as well as from summer to winter, it was said that at Samhain, the veil between worlds was thinnest. This also contributes to Samhain's association with death, as ancestors and spirits abound at this time, since they are more able to access the earth plane this evening. For this reason, in the past, those still alive left out sacrifices and treats for these departed-souls-come-back, often in an attempt to temper any anger these spirits may have with them. People who were truly afraid of the dead's displeasure, cross-dressed or dressed as animals in an attempt to confuse, trick, and avoid the wraith's wrath. Thus began the modern-day tradition of trick-or-treat. The jack-o-lantern was meant to scare off dark spirits, as well as represent a light in the darkness. There is a tradition called The Dumb Supper, as well, where silence is kept while a meal is eaten, in honor of the dead, who often have places set for them at the table this night. It is a good time all around for divination, storytelling, cleansing, bonfires, and ancestor worship.

It helps to be resourceful, persuasive,

well-written, and well-organized

if one chooses to do magic.

It helps to watch and remember

and record one's dreams as a magic-user.

It helps to know God when engaging

the higher energies of the Universe.

Always follow your FEELINGS in magic:

if it doesn't FEEL right, don't do it.

Why do Magic?

-to slow down the death of the universe (entropy)

-because it is your birthright

-because you can

-because it's natural

-because "they" do it

-because you want change

-because you want more agency

-because you believe in a better way/world

-because you want more for yourself/humanity

-because you don't want to physically do "too much"

-because you don't want to be "known" as the origin of an occurrence

-because you ultimately trust God to know what's best and mitigate your actions and desires

-because it's fun and all the things and anyone can do it ;)

-because it's creative, cool, and changes things at a fundamental level

Why not to do magic:

to control events >> this is a danger of magic btw, that you suddenly feel the need to control everything with magic once you feel the very real POWER and EFFICACY of it: this can be straight up addictive... sooooo avoid thatttttt...

to control things

to control other people

to just wantonly cause pain and drama

to scare people

to impress people

because people will hate you

because people will fear you

because people will just think you're crazy or weird or dark

because, historically, people may try to kill you

because if you don't do it "right" the repercussions could be "dramatic" (to say the least), and you might awaken certain forces within you or outside of you that you may not have expected or be prepared for at all...

Why do

magic

anyway:

BECAUSE THE WORLD NEEDS YOU aaaaand...if not you, THEN WHO? We need more witches in the game, if just to combat the "bad guys" who have straight up united in their malintent/malcontent/malfeasance…

because it makes no sense to tip-toe through life and "arrive safely" at death: no one gets out alive anyway sooooo...live it up!!!

because magic is the ether, and "they" are all doing it anyway, so you need to get up on itprotect yourself, and GET YOURS

because nothing worth doing is easy

HOWEVER...

**IF YOU'RE GONNA DO MAGIC,

KNOW WHAT'S UP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE**

Know the origins of:

you

magic

the issue

your opponents

your tools and materials

whatever contexts may be involved in whatever you're doing

Know the effects as much as possible on (the):

Physical issues involved

Economic issues involved

Sexual issues involved

Intellectual issues involved

Spiritual issues involved

Personal issues involved

Cultural issues involved

Historical issues involved

Atmospheric issues involved

Media-related issues involved

Interpersonal issues involved

Spatial issues involved

Time-oriented issues involved

Death-oriented issues involved

Life-oriented issues involved

How to DO Magic

Ok, so you've reckoned with as many of the possible consequences you can imagine from doing magic. You've found out what wood your wand is made of, you've checked the oracles (not tarot, bad symbolism) and feel ok about it all; you've talked to all the people, seen all the stuff, read a few books, bought the pentacle necklace and worn it out and felt ok with all the curious/weird/angry looks. You may be ready to work some spells.

First thing you should do is decide what you want to do, which really means what you want to change about your reality. After you do this, you'll want to lay the foundation, do the groundwork, perform the reconnaissance for your spells: scout locations, go foraging or order your materials off eBay or Etsy, read up on all the stuff, look at the moon and star charts and weather and find a good time for each stage of your work. You'll need to consider the High Holidays, too, as well as where the sun is in its procession. You'll want to decide what Gods and Ancestors and Angels to call on and make sacrifices to these and formally ask them for help.

This can be a ritual you do, calling on them or their spirit or their "secretary" helpers (most gods don't do their own bequeathals). Requesting spiritual help can be a general verbal supplication, or it can just be writing your request down in your Book of Shadows. *Also*, make sacrifices to your spirit helpers when you succeed, nogt just beforehand. Don't forget what happened in the Greek myth where Aphrodite made it possible for two young lovers to be together, and before they went off and consummated their love, they were to thank her with a sacrifice, but they did not, and so she punished them...

You'll probably want to write your intentions down (in the present tense!), maybe in a Book of Shadows, aka your spell book/magical journal. You should burn incense when doing this and try to make it "match" your intentions with what the scent "stands for" or "means". Like, if you're doing a spell to calm down and release anxiety, work with lavender (and amethyst); or for happiness, lemon is your main scent. Rose is good for love, as is frankincense and myrrh. There are a million scents, with many meanings each, and all your millions of intentions so, get crackin' on matchin' 'em up. I'd wave your intention-paper through the smoke, too.

When thinking of spell materials to “ground”, aka “symbolically represent/write”, your intention, you should pay attention to the elements you work with. You really need something from every element to have a balanced spell: each element needs to be "represented". You can use incense for air, btw, or something like birch wood, which has air-element qualities. Salt or stones are fine for the earth element, a burning candle is good for the fire element, and water is always good for the water element. Of course, you can always use other things to represent each element, just as long as they do: look it up. If you want to, you can call on the ELEMENTALS as well. These are little spirit-creatures associated with, beholden to, and made up of each element. I don't mess with them much, but some people keep them around like pets, following them wherever they go...

The salamanders are the fire element critters, the gnomes represent earth elementals, the ondines (mermaids) are for the water element, and the slyphs are the air elementals. I don't know much about salamanders except they can protect you? By attacking? Idk… Gnomes, I know, like shiny metals and gems, and like these as sacrifices, and they also like for you to just buy these things, too. Ondines appreciate a fragrance/essential oil sacrifice dropped into a natural body of water and may reward you with their "presence", or, ostensibly, these little, sort of doughnut-like formations in the water. Slyphs I see a lot, because I'm so aware of the sky: they look like certain feather-like clouds, with a sort of central "spine" and wispy extensions coming from it. I call them spirit clouds. Apparently, the slyphs like to join you on flights and travel and will keep you safe on these, but you must remember to call on them for this to work. You can call on any elemental at any time, really, but as with all things, these are real relationships here. It's a give and take situation that applies to all things in magic as well: angels, gods and goddesses, ancestors, even crystals and plants and animals. Do right by them and they'll do right by you. In the world of magic, this means sacrifice, aka CAKE AND ALE (though this mostly applies to ancestor worship...)

I will say: it is best to go with the flow of things, as in using the natural proclivities of the deities and your materials, in regard to the elements and stars and tendencies related to these. Because all is one, everything is related to everything else in magic: each stone has a corresponding element and planet and plant and a million other ancillary "identifiers" that "goes with" it. And you need to know them all, or at least be aware of them and look them up, and then figure out how to use them "well" or "properly".

Like, you wouldn't use honey (a love substance) or call on Jupiter (the great expander) in a banishing spell; just like you wouldn't call on Athena (the Goddess of wisdom and war) or Mars (the aggressive planet) for help with a love potion. Also, you must take into account the sort of "social atmosphere" around you or wherever you intend for your spell to work: I wouldn't ever try to like, get back into segregation, or even ever try to stop gay people from being gay while living in the time and place I do. In addition, if you really want change, you must do everything you can outside of the magical realm to make it happen. If you want to lose weight, you need to work out and eat healthy in addition to whatever magical workings you do. It really takes the alignment of mind, body, and soul- all the time and in every way- to truly change a thing on this plane...

As far as ALL this goes, there are many ways to do magic and many forms it can take. There are "magic mirrors", as in if you have two coins exactly the same and you give one to your beloved, then that sort of ties/mirrors you two. Or if you are in public, and you spot a hottie, you can "mirror" their actions to "get on their wavelength" and then they are more likely to notice you.

You can do mirrored "scale work" by building a to-scale model of something and then do to that model what you'd want to happen to the largerreal thing. This is the basis of voodoo dolls and the like. It's basic transference magic, or doing a thing to something over here that’s meant to affect a thing “like” it over there. Because your intention is the real "motivating force" in magic, and because everything is connected, and since the subconscious realm is pretty general about identity, this concept works and is kinda the basis of magic itself.

The idea of doing things on this plane, that are meant to effect things on the plane deeper than this one, which then comes around again and changes things for us back up here, is TRANSFERENCE MAGIC. You're transferring intent, symbolic representation, and symbolic action (ritual) into change and a "new reality" for you, through another realm, effecting your life on this plane. However, it's not *too* crazy, because things like shape and color are pretty whatever to magic and the subconscious; as long as YOU know what it is, it basically "IS" that, but to-scale renderings and detailed timing do help…

There are also "magic anchors" that work similarly to the mirrors, and sometimes within the aforementioned grids. Like, for the bad guys to keep human trafficking (which is EVERYWHERE) in place and under wraps, they must put a little spell out to "anchor" their evil "grid" of bad magic like, every few feet, really. And yes, one may put a spell in place and no one is ever the wiser (except ME): most times the bad guys make their bad magic look like trash

Do you know how easy it is to hide magic, now that there is all this stuff everywhere and no one knows the language of symbolism anymore??? SOOOOOO easy, bro. You can scape your very land in a certain way (with regards to the properties of the plants planted and their combinations and configurations) and create powerful magic that way, that just, like, no one knows about. In addition, all art is magic and most public art is straight up satanic bullshit. But, yeah, so much trash is just magic hiding in plain sight and it's annoying af. Just so you know...

So yeah, magic is all about relationship, and not just between you and your deities/ancestors/angels/elementals: it is also about the relationship between your spell materials and about the relationship between the places you decide to eventually put your spells. Putting things in places that honor them or make them more important to you (like an altar), can make them more effective; while the “bad guys” tend to hide “good” objects in gross, dark places to "debase" them (like tires in sewer drains ☹) for a lot of their bad magic. And, of course, much of magic is about what to put with what. Things like frankincense and myrrh go well together because myrrh is feminine, and frankincense is masculine. There are other winning combinations in magic, like a set of rainbow stones that represent the chakras, or our spiritual organ system. Or aventurine, pyrite, and citrine crystals for prosperity. And placing these in helpful places helps.

In most magic, I do a lot of stacking or layering or arranging objects so that they "speak" to one another and relate in pointed, intentional, often narrative ways. You can keep locks of hair and fragments of handwriting in books and journals with entries and passages related to how you might hope to affect that person. Honestly, just putting someone's business card in your holy book can keep them in your life forever (or even save theirs)... If someone “can't see you” or is ignoring you and you want that to change, you can, like, glue a picture of you and them together, with your photo mostly over their eyes or something. If someone isn't being true to their emotions or is repressing stuff or just is not being emotional enough for you, you can dunk a photo of them in water (the emotional element), or just leave it in there for a while. Lol, ok this is bad, but if you want to curse someone with titrated wear or just never-ending emotional strain, you can leave a photo of them under a dripping faucet, as well... 🙅😵

But, basically, the main idea in magic is to create a spell. This is really just a sort of physical concentration of intention through the use of symbolic action and material. You can put your spell together or do your ritual anywhere: out in the woods, on your front lawn, or on your altar. You should probably do most of your "work" in the safety of a magic circle, and you MUST charge (imbue with your power) your magical objects within a circle, or risk entity contamination/interference. You really need to charge all objects in a spell to give it the greatest effect. Man-made objects don't really hold charge and things like resins and oils hold charges longer than things like plant matter and powders. https://kartoonzoo.blogspot.com/2014/04/how-to-cast-circle.html

Your spell can look like anything, but you should strive for beauty and symmetry with it. Don't worry too much: those that get this far, are meant to. They are guided and just finding the way, is a ticket to the ride. Magic is an art, after all, and, really, magic IS art and art IS magic. It is also like Interior Design if it were more like Design's Design, or Metaterior Design... Arranging reality's energy around your personal universe... However, there are a few basic parameters. You should know that in magic, placement is paramount: left is traditionally feminine, and right is typically masculine, and the upper portion of a thing is usually the mental space, while the lower part is the sexual space. All these are on a continuum and eventually collapse, like on a map of the US: Florida is in the masculine sex corner of America (the limp dick of the USA ☹) and LA is the feminine sex corner (Hollywood BS hell, obs). But between them is good ole’ Nawlins (New Orleans), which is like, the most louche and debauched and sexual city in America, right?? Das because it is between the "male and female sex parts of America" and represents the union of the two. Also... New York is the "male mind" which is why it's all crazy and full and ballsy and extreme weather, poverty, crime and anything goes, debauchery reigns!! While Seattle is temperate and rainy and interesting and kinda cool, but people are dour and drink too much coffee and are isolated and kill themselves... Sounds a bit like American lady mind, huh??? See??? I’m not lying here… Symbolism and magic and placement are all real… You’ll see!!

But regardless of placements, a spell can be anything: a small dish of water and a crystal with a lit candle and a burning stick of incense, just sitting quietly on a shelf in your kitchen. It can be a yellow pouch of salt and herbs and rose petals tied with a black string and embroidered with a pentacle in red thread that you carry with you wherever you go. It can be a labradorite ring your grandmother gave you that you always wear or a song you wrote and sing for a lover. Or you can go shout and blast music in the park to be less poetic about it... Or your spell can be something a little edgier, like a sexual ritual with feathers and chains and some crazy music and the like. Male and female (Yin and Yang) should be balanced in whatever magic you do, with respect to left and right, if possible; unless your aim is to upset them...

The irony here is that, though it may not seem or look like it, and depending on the intentions and materials and all the things involved, that "crazy" sex ritual or that display of loudmouthing in the park, could be "better" (or have a more positive effect) than the innocuous-seeming candle, water, incense, and crystal spell, if the sex magic was meant to demonstrate peace and love and "breaking the chains" or something, or the sound in the park was a "good message", and the other spell was intended to bring harm to someone, somehow. Just because it "looks good" doesn't mean it is... And just because it may "look bad" or "seem bad", doesn't mean it is, either... Plus you know, good is bad and bad is good anyway, sometimes... You know how it is!

But most magic, at its core, tends to just be a collection of items placed somewhere "special". You can put your "spell" in a box or pouch or your glove compartment, or you can place it on your altar, or in your bedroom under your mattress, or even on your body, in your skin, in the form of tattoos. This is actually pretty powerful magic because you carry it with you wherever you go, forever, and it becomes part of you, like, down in your skin. But mostly, a spell is just a metaphorical "sentence" you write with symbolic objects or actions in the Book of Life, hoping it will turn into a real situation for you.

To do magic, it is good to be familiar with all angels and deity pantheons, and any and all Messiahs and God-Men/Women, such as Yeshua (Jesus) and Mary Magdalene, Mohammad (peace be upon him), or the Buddha (Siddhartha) and his fem counterparts. You should really have a knowledge of your own ancestors and their individual resting places and lives. These spirits are not only useful from their plane, but their archetypal fingerprints are all over and intertwined with this reality and they can be very, very helpful when called upon. However, you MUST explicitly call upon them, thus giving them agency and permission to help you on this plane. Otherwise, they are powerless to help you, and just look on from "above", watching and waiting and wishing you'd allow them to help...

Much of magic happens in your "mind's eye", or your "imagination", or what is really just the spirit realm. When you charge things, you put your energy into them inside your mind: you visualize it happening. But that doesn't mean it "isn't happening" or it "isn't real". It is. It's just happening on another plane, which, by the way, totally exists and interacts with this one, so it is REAL. Light working is the same. If you imagine sending light to your liver or to someone else's liver, that has a real effect; realer than taking vitamin e or even having a doctor operate on either. This is NOT bullshit. The real world arises from the spirit world, which is like, the underlying template for this world: everything originates in the "void". Imaging, or imagining, or sending images into this void is how things come about. Someone has to dream it up first! (They tell you that in art school when they're showing you stuff like screws and clock faces, being like "Someone had to design this! Think this up!") Likewise, every physical problem comes from a spiritual problem and has a spiritual solution.

In the same vein, you can actually "cast" your consciousness. Like, you can throw it around, you can send it out, and away, and have it "look" at stuff. This is kind of like remote viewing. It's also a bit like kything in Madeline L'Engles work, or the magic "bug" in Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker series. But basically, your consciousness, or your general awareness, is malleable and non-local and totally able to travel and be cast about. Of course, you can go as far as astral projection, where your spirit completely leaves you and goes off into the astral plane, tethered to you only by The Silver Thread; but you don't have to go that far if you don't want to. If you just want to know what's on the other side of a door, you can just do that and leave astral travel to the pros. Reality is much more malleable than we're led to believe...  All you have to do is imagine you can see into the room, past the door, and then imagine you're doing it.

We actually need another word for this, that's closer to manifestation, because it's not just imagining, it's realer than that. Maybe visualizing. But basically, you close your eyes and cast your awareness over there, past the door, and "see" into the room. You do this by doing it: act as if you can. Just have the intent and feel as if you're doing it and try to get into the details of it all: maybe push your awareness with your mind past the door and into the room and think/imagine how this would "feel" and what you might "see". Then, if it works for you that time, you'll get an impression of what's over there. It may be a crystal-clear picture, or it may be a sketchy, echolocation-type thing. Or you might just know something about what's inside, without any real visual. Either way, it's entirely possible, and you can for sure do it

If it doesn't seem to work at first, don't despair! If you tried to pick up a 100lb weight with one arm right now, you probably couldn't either! You need practice and warming up and stretching? IDK. Try this though: start to just think of what might be over there. Picture some things that are likely on the other side of this door, and your consciousness might just slide over there, for real. Once you really get it, you can even look into a body and see little things like spots of cancer and the like... It may take practice, and it certainly takes belief, but it CAN BE DONE. Psychic work like this is like a muscle, you must build it up, and work it out, but it gets easier the more you "use" it.

Ok, so, magic "proper": some spells require what I refer to as "immunization work" since parts of them work kind of like a vaccine. Though, the effect isn't so much like how the body takes a little bit of the virus and creates immunity from that, as it is just the fact that the bad thing is present in a nominal way, and so it won't “need” to be there in a grander way... So, basically, if you're making a protection spell, you’ll want to include a small piece of death (like a graveyard stone), so that "trouble" is like, there, and acknowledged, but won't come up again later, bigger and badder? As I write it, it makes less sense, but it works. You kinda need to include the seed of the opposite of what you're doing in your spell to make sure that it doesn't happen... This is a bit of shadow work (acknowledging the opposite) as well as a (sort of???) working of a principal I call DISPLACEMET.

Displacement:

So, like, say you want to fireproof something with magic. One way you could approach this is to like, create a "bunch of burning" in one place, and at some time, that isn't where and when you don't want it to be, so that "the instance of burning" has already happened elsewhere and at another time, and so it doesn't "need" to happen again/when and where you DON'T want it to?? I know, it's complicated and abstract and makes almost no sense...but, hey, das magic for ya...

The “bad guys” use displacement a ton, like for sex magic, BAD sex magic. They would rather you do almost anything else other than have positive, life-affirming, holy sex, especially if it makes them money. How many times have you played a video game, bought something, smoked something, or eaten a ton of crap, just because you couldn’t get laid?? A few times, I’d bet, whether you knew it or not. But it’s more insidious than that even: the jerks like to redirect your libidinous forces to even more inappropriate routes than these.

Like, the other day, I noticed milk cost $2.69, which just made me sick. First of all, this number is NO COINCIDENCE, because like, yea, 69 is VERY powerful, being sex (6) followed by orgasm (9) and starting with 2, the number of the couple. But like, $2.69 for milk, right, who cares, right? Wellllll, if you understand that milk comes from female, aka MOTHER cows, and that all milk is basically mommy-juice, then you may see the problem: collapsing the sexually satisfying numerology of 269 with milk either confirms our natural bias to associate MOM with SEX or creates it anew. Soooo, by charging $2.69 for milk, "they" were causing everyone who bought it to associate with that juxtaposition, to affirm that effect in their own lives and psyches, and to just play into the whole freaking game without their knowledge or consent!!! It's like some hidden, incestuous, Oedipal gate you just HAD to pass through to eat your gosh dang cereal every morning!!! UGH!

Basically... IT’S SICK SHIT and I hate it and it’s so easy to do and so easy to miss that I bet NO ONE ELSE who saw this match-up was in any way offended. ☹ So, yeah, the "bad guys" looooooove to redirect or "displace" your sexual impulses toward your mom (or any family member), or Louis Vuitton, or cracker jacks, or Halo; because not only does it confound you and put a stop to your sex life (a MAJOR problem btw: having good sex can give you the confidence to rebel, or just stand up for yourself/others, and live the life you really want), but it also often makes them money in the process. :( :( :(

This brings up a notion I mentioned before, relationship in magic, but I want to give it its proper name: BINDING. When you magically relate, or collapse, or tie together anything, it is known as binding and it is often permanent, or at least very hard to break. So, when you sleep with anyone, you mesh souls on one level, and you two are just like, infinitely bound and enmeshed, forever, and it really can’t be undone, unless you have a professional "cut your cords". But even then, both of you, and everyone else who knows about the coupling, remembers and, in some ways, paints you with the same brush. Though, it could be argued that everything is related anyway, if is not in fact all the same, so, you know, whatever…
carry on…

But, yeah, binding. It's just magically enmeshing things. Marriage is a form of binding, because you don't stand up in front of everyone you know, and kiss each other, and exchange rings and vows and DNA in your saliva, and that just not mean anything in terms of energy and spirituality and magic...

So, so many things are bindings: Catholic mass (itself a magic, shadow ritual) is a binding with that communal, shared cup of wine; getting booked into jail is binding, signing a receipt is binding, making a blood pact is super binding. Any social contract is a binding, not to mention any outright and "properly signed" contract. Giving flowers to someone is kinda binding, taking a photo is kinda binding, even eye contact is a bit of a "bind". Things like binding spells (where you keep someone from doing harm by "binding them" [kinda like a magical strait jacket]) are obviously binding, but in another way that you might not imagine: when you do them, not only are you binding that person from doing harm, but, in a way, you, yourself, will be forever linked to them through the spell. That is why you may want to just do a banishing spell on some pest if you truly want to get rid of them...

Ok, so, this brings up an *interesting* point: working magic on others. You can do it, and I certainly have, but das a sticky wicket, every which way you look at it, fo sho. There are all sorts of laws of Karma, and things returning to you 10-fold, or 3-fold, or 7-fold, or however many folded folds shit comes back at you; there are also notions of "needing consent" and do-no-harm and all that, that you can pay attention to...or ignore. But, having done it many, many times, let me just say: any changes you wish to incur at all in this world, must begin in YOU, and as you turn from one reality to another with your magic, the entire community (of universes) is affected in waves. In essence: never bestow on anyone what you, yourself, have not already felt or are willing to feel or experience, as a result of your magic.

Reality is very rebound-y and fractal-like and magic is the ultimate hall of mirrors: most things reflect many times in and through the matrix, and certainly things do “come back around”. If you’re doing good things for people, this is fine, obviously, but it is said that you really need consent for any magic worked on another. I don’t super pay attention to this if I'm doing good magic and haven’t noticed much rebound there… Butttttt, if you’re gonna play pushy-shovsies and kicky-punchy, it’s another story. If you go that way, you will need to regard your own “death” alongside your enemy's if you decide to get red, because, really,

WE’RE ALL ONE

and what you do to another, you ultimately do to yourself. So, really, all this battle-magic stuff hardly makes sense to me anymore, but if you must... Know that there will be effects on both of you in the fallout, and that others in your shared environs (and other universes) can get hurt, as well.

Also, it would be good to begin all magic, especially an attack, by cleaning your spaces beforehand: clean your car, house, body, garage, litterbox, and office; clean your fingernails and toenails, ears and teeth, all your toilets, your trashcan and computer trashcan and email and phone trashcans. Clean your illicit love nest, beach house, ski cabin, back porch, front porch, indoor and outdoor pools, glove compartment, and the dry space/closet thing at your beach house and all other subsequent property. Clean your air filters and your garbage disposal and your windows and your jewelry and your oven and your contacts. Do all your laundry and dishes, obviously. Maybe even get a colonoscopy or an enema or whatever that thing is that cleans out your colon, too; clean all of it: CLEAN IT ALL. Then burn sage. Then clean it all again. Then maybe throw down salt everywhere because salt is the ultimate purifier…

In addition, you should try to pay off all debts, work out any issues in relationships, and make sure all your lights, sensors, alarms, and airbags are working. AKA: fortify your base. Leave yourself the least amount of room for rebounding-blowback in the inevitable matrix-magic-fallout as possible. Basically, like in the Book, don't point out the speck in another's eye before you remove the log in your own. Like, don't ever try to attack someone's else's sex life if yours isn't on a solid, safe ground. So...take a shower, sweep your floors, tell everyone you love them and feed ALL your pets, because you NEVER KNOW what your magic might do, to you, to your energy, to your target, to the community, to your parents, your spouse, your house, your yard or your mind, or any and all life in your orbit, or... YOUR ENTIRE EXISTENCE.

Because this shit is SERIOUS (like, beyond life and death even) and don't you go any further if you aren't prepared to kill someone (with magic, of course), or several people, or at least damage some property or cause a huge, raging fire somewhere you'd never imagine you could... Cuz that shit's ALL HAPPENED TO ME, all of it, and I do not lie. Oh, and, beyond how serious it is to attack someone with magic-and how it rebounds on you and you could actually DIE- there's another level of seriousness: once you start doing any kind of attack magic, you call the attention of the demons, and if you don't keep up with balancing your own shadow and spiritual deaths, they kill YOU. Not always a physical death-there are many ways to die-but MAYBE that. There are intellectual deaths, spiritual deaths, and many, many different types of physical death to experience and they all "suck" (though they are usually useful, as death is a great "cleanser" and "mover of objects". Plus, once the darkness looks your way, it doesn't super turn back...It doesn't have a lot going on...kinda fixates, really... So, seriously, if you feel you have any demons in you, unresolved, that like, wreak havoc in your life already, don't do this, you're too vulnerable to your own shadow to be messing around with anyone else's.

Also, if you have an issue with a person, and you feel you want to work bad magic on them, try talking to them first. Try to work it out human-to-human before you start slinging magical arrows all willy nilly, or even highly focused. Seriously, dark magic (and that is what attacking someone magically is, make no mistake) should be your LAST RESORT. Black magic is NOT GOOD, it is hardly worth it in the end, and its fallout can literally kill you. If you have a small issue with a neighbor, don't just go for the jugular and burn their mail or even toss salt at them or whatever. Please, PLEASE try working it out first, on the human level. I SAY THIS FOR YOUR BENEFIT. Don't end up like me with demon bullies and a big, nasty cabal problem... Battle magic should really be reserved for worst case scenario type stuff- like fighting other forms of dark magic, or curse-breaking, or at the very most for revenge on someone who has dumped huge amounts of sacrificial-shadow-shit on you like the Freemasons did to me...

But if you and your spaces are clean, and you feel stable and righteous and within the reasonable range of revenge; and you are in touch with the Universe, and the synchronicities flow that way, and the oracles confirm your course of action, then yes, stand up for something, and say:

 "THIS IS WACK!

I WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!"

and get red.

Get Very,

Very

RED.

Because if you make the decision to throw caution to the wind, and engage the darkest part of existence, and accept all the consequences that go with this,

DO IT HARD BRO.

Go as hard as possible, balls to the walls and balls deep, especially at first, because as with all attack, surprise is your biggest advantage the first time around...

So if you're attacking a person, start by noticing where their natural death/rebirth cycles are forestalled in their own life/functions. Intellectual death is the ability to change your mind and admit you were wrong and to truly reroute your thoughts thereafter. Spiritual death usually entails an overhaul of one's moral compass and a reorganization of one's values and goals. Physical deaths can be as simple as stubbing your toe or having your cat scratch you, or as serious as loss of limb and life. Death happens naturally and necessarily in people's mental, physical, and spiritual realms but can be easily jammed by rerouting it or displacing it by causing one to experience an excess or limitation of things like sex, food, and money, aka spiritual tender. Herein lies your path of attack on your target’s blindest of spots. Because there's nothing like fucking with, or starving a man of, his wine, money, and ladies...or men. Or a lady of her wine, money, and men...or ladies...you get the picture.

But, yeah, throw a wrench in the machine where it's weakest, if you're going to throw a wrench at all: hit a person where they already have problems. If someone is an addict, exaggerate that or dry up their source. If they're super pure, weaken their resolve and then tempt them beyond resistance or cause their virtue to turn into a vice or a source of improper pride. You can always read The Screwtape Letters and learn from the best: demons. But again, I do not really recommend any of this...

But besides gumming up a person's natural death cycles with sex, food, and money problems, a lot of magical attack is about rearranging a target's feminine and masculine energy, their LIGHT and Shadow, as well as changing the general temperature of certain areas of their life. Pay attention to the positives/outputs in a person's life/system (aka "fruits"-in the Book) as well as the negatives/inputs. Stuff like money, power, food, sex, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, media, all material goods like cars, houses, and clothes, family and friends and other people in a person’s life... are the usual outputs and inputs. Knowing these about your target will help you to know how to best "rewrite" the reality that's already there (aka FUCK THEM UP).

In order to do this most effectively, you are going to have to know a little about gender symbolism so that you may rearrange the masculine and feminine energy of a situation/person. First to know: everything is really only ever a reflection of what we already know, and most things are just echoes of the body: it's all hoohoos and weewees out there. It may sound nuts, but most things fall into these categories, if not visually or functionally, then symbolically and archetypally. See my Sex Symbols post: Kartoon Zoo: SEX SYMBOLS >> https://kartoonzoo.blogspot.com/2023/11/sex-symbols.html

Next to tap into and fuck with in an enemy’s life is the Light and the Shadow. These are best defined by Carl Jung: Light being what is acknowledged in a person's mind, body, and spirit, as well as a society's mind, body and spirit; and then on to the larger "Light realm" we all share of what is known and acknowledged about all the worlds and planets and stars and myth and all that is affirmed in the collective consciousness by general consensus; that is all part of the Light. The Shadow is about what isn't acknowledged by us, our families, our schools, our workplaces, our economies, our governments, our societies, and our world at large. It is the unseen space where all the stuff goes we don't want to look at. However, there is good and bad in both our Light and Shadow selves, aka the parts of us everyone and no one ever sees, even us.

(And truly, we hide the best of ourselves in our Shadow sometimes: we can be afraid to win out of fear of being seen as being too aggressive or egoistic or competitive. We can repress our tendency toward leadership out of a desire not to overshadow our parents or our heroes or just regular friends, siblings, and other family members/people at large. We may fear the calling attention to ourselves leadership may bring because we feel this could cause danger or humiliation if we step out and speak and make ourselves salient, so we repress that tendency all together... We are often afraid of our own brilliant, blinding success because it might make someone else uncomfortable or feel small and that would bother us. So, often, herein lies our greatest wealth, hidden and unacknowledged and untapped: all that latent, unused potential... also known as The Gold in the Shadow.)

But, manipulating a person’s Light and Shadow selves is a good place to start with magical attack as collapsing a target's Light and Shadow life can be catastrophic for them. If what your enemy hides becomes known, that's often a problem for them. This exposure is best done through sexual symbolism, which is why I went through all that earlier. First, let's talk about sex, and penises, and vaginas.

Symbolically, a penis is an active, activating, projective force. A vagina, symbolically, is more like a pocket that hides and protects things, as well as contains mystery, knowledge, and inherent prosperity in the form of eggs. The functions of a penis are to be long and hard, to penetrate, and to spread seed (which is also prosperous, just less so than a woman's egg, which is "scarcer").

Things like chalk, pens, and wands are obvious mirrors of a phallus, physically and functionally, while other phalluses like hats, pyramids, and scarves are more abstractly like a penis than operationally or visually like one. Vagina symbols include purses, plates, socks, books, bowls, vases, couches, tables, and chairs: anything that receives or contains or has an interior and is sort of "looked into" is vaginal. Now, these can then be abstracted further: a job is like a “phallus” because it allows you to "penetrate" and act and produce. It gives you power and agency and brings you wealth, like penises can. An abstracted vagina would be like your homelife, or your past, or your secrets, or your private communications; they all reside inside and cannot just be known, they must be revealed.

So, if you can find sure symbols of a person's Light and Shadow phallus and/or vagina, you can do many a (terrible) thing to them. If you take someone's "light vagina", aka their inner space that is known, and collapse it with their "shadow penis" or what they do secretly, then you'll create problems for them. Like, exposing a person's dirty laundry to the world and therein, give them a spiritual, social, and intellectual death (that may end up actually bringing them physical harm 😐). Doing anything to a person's possessions, or an image of them, or their art or handwriting or something they made, all acts as a kind of voodoo doll: it affects them in real life. Stacking a person's business card ("light penis") with the address of their love nest ("shadow vagina") and covering both in graveyard dirt will expose their unlovely love life to their coworkers. Add an object of their "official partner’s" and they will have fires in both houses.

Basically, put a person's shadow vagina (unacknowledged secrets) around their light phallus (public life) and watch their life crumble. And like I said, this is best done in the arena of food, sex, and/or money. Find objects that, in juxtaposition, symbolically collapse a person's light and shadow lives with regards to these "spiritual currencies" and bring their stickiest secrets to light. Hit a thing/person in the mind, body, and spirit, too. Break it/them down, stage by stage, from beginning to end, and from every angle: add heat where there is cold, ice where there is fire, flood what is dry and dry up any "good" floods; bring in excess where there is none and exaggerate it where it already resides; collapse opposites, seek the mandorla, engage chaos and Kali and Loki and then run for the hills and pray like HEAVEN/HELL you don't die in the fallout...

Fire is super powerful in dark magic and curses, as well. Burning everything you have from a person will not only remove their presence from your life, but it will also sever the bond (as far as you can without a professional) and likely harm them in the process. Fire IS cleansing, but always remember, what you do to another, you do to yourself. It is wise to continue considering your own “death” alongside your enemy's and to work shadow magic on yourself all along your unmerry way as well, exposing your own shadow willingly as you expose theirs against their will.

Cutting yourself a little at the end of an attack can help you control the rebounded fallout of your spell on you as well, and it can add extra power to your magic, too, as blood is the most powerful substance on Earth. It’s way binding and identifying and just like, the whole world (physical, spirit, and otherwise) snaps to attention when blood is spilled… Spilling a bit of your own after performing a curse is also a little like "insurance" because of the "immunization principal" in magic: it keeps violence "close", but mitigated, so that Death need not come around any more than that. Also, cut your nails and a little hair when you are done cursing, just for safe measure and to rid and separate yourself a bit from what you've just done; and then take a shower and thank the water for its gift of cleanliness.

These are the kinds of things you do for the destructive angle, and it applies to attacking places, organizations, and businesses alike.

However, when dishing out the dirt, you will need to really think about what changes will happen, not only in the highest future for you, but for the rest of the Earth and for your enemies, too. Because though they might deserve a good thunking from their karma (that you call on), or their shadow (that you fling at them), they also deserve a chance at a reality where they learn something from your curses and grow and become better and, you know, move down the demon-ladder a little or whatever.

The point is, consider the silver lining for your marks. Give their suffering meaning and include in all your curses a chance for a hope for a better life for them. In short, be exhaustive and sympathetic when assessing and plotting the future/revenge for all the jerks, because caring for even your enemies gains you crowns in Heaven and on Earth. Because, really, whatever these pricks did to you to make you risk your life to get back at them, you actually wish they just hadn't done in the first place... and that they were just nice all along and had never been mean at all..

So, tap into that might-have-been timeline where they brought you flowers instead of bombs, and wish that for them, too, and consider that version of them for you, because really, it's hurt people that hurt people, and somewhere along the line, someone hurt them, too :,( and that's why they're so bitter and bent to have hurt you or anyone else in the first place...

But idk, don’t exactly shy away from fucking someone up, because sometimes you gotta break the evil eggs, and destruction is creative, and the Indigo Children were born to destroy the dark systems anyhow, and it's all corrupt anyway, and sometimes...people just need to DIE... because that's what's best: for them, for the world, and for YOU. :D It's all just a story God is telling it/themselves anyway,

SO MAKE IT A GOOD ONE

and

fuck around and find out!!

BUTTTTTT, while you’re doing dark magic, or any magic, or just going through life, LISTEN really, really hard to God/the Universe/your higher power. Take note of ALL the signs and don’t consider ANYTHING a coincidence.

Once, in my younger-witch years, a dude broke a (really pretty, really important) cup right before we all did a prosperity spell... and yet, we did not take the hint and did it anyway; not knowing then, that we were doing it at the wrong time of year (as the sun was losing strength) and the wrong time of the moon cycle (as the moon was waning). Needless to say, we lost it all soon thereafter. But...don’t be too deterred!! Know that once you start doing magic, often your better angels will likely guide you to the proper items and people and times for the best possible outcomes. It just may not be exactly what YOU wanted… The Universe isn’t above using you for its own ends… Just PAY ATTENTION to everything in the process: every little sign, "coincidence", and synchronicity. Even seemingly silly stuff like what people say near you: overhearing a thing that just seems like it’s pertinent to your situation is a definite sign, so listen up

Look at it ALL, too. Watch (your) animals, even, because if you’re well connected to them and they’re “smart”, they can super, duper help you. My cat used to straight up lead me to dark magic outside, back in the woods, that I never would have known about otherwise; and once, I followed some squirrels chasing each other over to a copse of trees and found $7 just lying on the ground!!!

Check out the weather, as well, and what falls from the sky, and what gets stuck under your feet, and NOTICE if you, or someone else, trips or stumbles or misspeaks or sneezes or cuts their little finger... because it all matters. Look at what time it is/things happen at (like texts! as this is crazy helpful at discovering what a person "really means"...), and what day it is, and analyze that for numerology. Check out the colors someone is wearing when they arrive at your house for a ritual, as well as any other words or symbols on their clothes and see how that feels to you. Intuition is the language/ear of the soul and can save your very life when you are dealing with magic. It's all communications from the beyond. It’s always good, also, to just ask the Universe to straight up direct your attention and awareness and consciousness…

The next thing is something I have decided is a good idea over time. Allowing for a chance reaction in your magic will not only breathe life into your work to activate it, but doing so will give the Universe room to work through you. Things like burning incense calls the spirits' attention, yes, but if you plan for it, the ash can fall on pertinent things for those intentions... but semi-randomly, allowing the Universe to call some of the shots there.

Rolling a die at a spell will give you a number from “beyond” and knock stuff around a bit, giving Chance, and God, and the angels, a way to “play a role” in your work. Throwing things in the air to land where they may, opening a holy book at random, planning for a collapse- but allowing the mechanisms and timing to be left up to God- are all good ways to add the necessary elements of Chance for spirit to be present in your magic... as well as leaving room for a bit of a safe-guard against your doing the totally wrong thing...

Because if you are just going ass-backwards all willy-nilly in your spell work, at least God can throw it/you off a little bit, and maybe a bit back onto the "right" path, with this chance-reaction failsafe-strategy... Sometimes, I like to just throw water at a spell or pour wax on it, just to leave room for this divine fun. For it is in mistakes and random happenstance that the world is truly made. :)

Also, a fun thing: things line up in magic, like colors match and shapes come together if you're doing it "right". So, look for that. Also, time can work out perfectly, as can space, like when you pour something into another thing, and it fits perfectly, or you show up at a place right on time without trying.

In conclusion: don't just hook, line, and sinker take what “they” give you!! Everyone, and I mean everyone (Google, Meta, the state of Alaska, The Pope, and all the islands of Fiji), is out there working spells, and flinging symbols around, and peddling paper props without purpose so………go grab your own slice of Heaven!!! Make your own magic and write your own reality!! Because...Magic is your birthright and you deserve the Enchanted World it can create for you!!!

Magic is the most democratic thing you can possibly ever do because literally EVERYONE can do it! And your magic always matters, because unlike in democracy, your spell never doesn't not "count" and no one's magic is weightier than anyone else's. Well, it's possible that the younger you are, the closer to "the source" you are, and therefore the more powerful you are; but that seems good and fair to me anyway, since all the oldie bastards out there are the ones fucking shit up around here anyhow...

But anyway, how do you think all the happy, rich, fulfilled people got so fortunate anyhow??? MAGIC, friends. Think and Grow Rich is a straight-up spell book, people! Failing to learn the language of symbolism and magic and manifestation OMITS you from choosing many things in your life. Knowing about phallic and vaginal symbols, and the elements, and numerology, and the runes, and the meaning of colors, and magic itself is the BEST THING you will ever do for yourself! You will be able to read reality like a boss, and you will no longer be a hoodwinked slave to the other magic-masters, and you can have literally anything you can dream up, believe in, and make happen!!!!!!!

YOU WILL BE THE MASTER OF YOUR OWN DESTINY,

CARVING YOUR OWN PATH TO YOUR OWN TUNE,

and you will never fail to see The Light.

:)

BLESS CREATION
